One more from the same morning

The day geckos of the genus Phelsuma are the small green punctuation of a Mauritian forest several of the island’s species live nowhere else, feeding on nectar and fruit and rarely leaving the palms and screwpines they are born on. This one turned up half an hour after the last of the birds, flat along the spine of a leaf with the light dropping away behind it.

It has since been picked up as a wallpaper for openSUSE Leap, which is a stranger afterlife than a gecko photograph usually gets.
